WASHINGTON, DC — Four teenagers were arrested Thursday in connection with an armed robbery in Northwest Washington, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:44 p.m. in the 1300 block of W Street, Northwest, where the suspects, armed with handguns, approached the victim and stole personal property before fleeing in a waiting SUV.

Shortly after the robbery, the Real Time Crime Center identified the suspects’ vehicle parked in the 1200 block of 4th Street, Northwest, using surveillance images. Police reported that the images also captured the suspects leaving the vehicle.

Members of the Robbery Suppression Unit used the surveillance footage to locate and arrest all four suspects, charging them with armed robbery and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Additional charges included carrying a pistol without a license, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and tampering with a GPS.

Police recovered some of the stolen property, two handguns, and the SUV, which had been reported stolen from Prince George’s County, Maryland.
