Four teens charged after vicious Arlington bicycle robbery

ARLINGTON, Va. — A boy was seriously injured after four teenage suspects attacked him and stole his bicycle on a residential street in Arlington earlier this week, according to local police.

Attack occurred in residential neighborhood

Police were called to the intersection of 18th Street N and N Quinn Street shortly before 7 p.m. on April 9 for a reported assault. The boy was outside on his bicycle when he was confronted by a group of four teenagers, who physically assaulted him. Two of the suspects fled the scene on the victim’s bike.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries, which were described as non-life-threatening.

According to Arlington County Police, the four teenage suspects have been identified. Two of the teens are facing petitions for assault by mob, while the other two are facing robbery petitions. Police said the stolen bicycle has been recovered.
