THURMONT, MD – A Frederick County resident won $50,000 playing the Money Money Money scratch-off ticket.
The winner, a packaging official, decided to try his luck with scratch-offs after work last week. He purchased two $5 Money Money Money tickets at Mountain View Convenience & Food Mart, located at 140 Frederick Road. To his surprise, one of the tickets revealed a $50,000 top prize.
“I wasn’t expecting to win anything big,” he said. “When I saw how much of a win it was, I was a little unsure.”
The man confirmed his win at the retailer and shared the news with his daughter. He kept the ticket in a safe until he claimed the prize this week, accompanied by his daughter. The winner plans to use the funds to help his family and save the rest.
Mountain View Convenience & Food Mart will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The Money Money Money game, which launched in March, still has four $50,000 top prizes remaining.
