NEW MARKET, MD— A double homicide that occurred Sunday in New Market has been described by Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins as a “rage killing by an angry, enraged person.” The victims, Crimea Malita Baker, 33, of New Market, and Sean Antoine Lange, 34, of Arlington, Virginia, were found shot more than 40 times in a bed at Baker’s home on Mandalong Court.

Sheriff Jenkins confirmed that the victims were in a relationship and that Lange had been living at the house for several days. Lange is the father of one of Baker’s four children, who were in the home at the time but unharmed. The children, who discovered the bodies and called 911, indicated that the crime occurred around 1:30 a.m. They reportedly hid until morning before seeking help.

Sheriff Jenkins assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to the community, suggesting that the crime was targeted and the perpetrator likely knew the victims. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are dedicating all resources to apprehend those responsible.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Reese at 301-600-3640.
