Fugitive Roselle Man Wanted for Murder of Sister-in-Law and Her 9-Year-Old Daughter Captured

ROSELLE, NJ – A fugitive wanted for the murder of his sister-in-law and her young daughter was captured in Maryland this week.

Everoy L. Morrison, a 44-year-old man from Roselle, has been charged with the double homicide of his sister-in-law, 45-year-old Keisha Morrison, and her 9-year-old daughter Kelsey Morrison.

The gruesome discovery was made on April 18th, when Roselle Police Officers were called to a home on the 200 block of West 7th Avenue following a report of two missing persons.

A subsequent search of the home uncovered the victims’ bodies.

Morrison, who had been reportedly residing in the basement of the home at the time of the homicides, faces multiple counts of first-degree murder, weapons charges, and theft of a motor vehicle, which was taken from the home after the murders.

The exhaustive investigation was led by the Union County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Task Force and the Roselle Police Department, with the assistance of the Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit and Maryland State Police.

Morrison was apprehended in Maryland, where he had been stopped and arrested for being in possession of the stolen vehicle.
