Fugitive Wanted After High Speed Police Chase Captured in Holmdel

HOLMDEL TOWNSHIP, NJ – Police have arrested 48-year-old Alterquie Jones of Irvington, NJ, in relation to a stolen car that crashed on Middletown Road. Jones was located near a vacant property on Crawfords Corner Road shortly after 8:00 AM, not far from the crash scene.

Jones had two active warrants and was additionally charged with “Unlawful Possession of a Weapon” (knife) and “Certain Persons Not to Have Weapons.” He was processed at Police Headquarters and later transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institute.

Authorities say the remaining suspects are no longer believed to be in the area, and the investigation continues. Residents with surveillance footage that could assist are asked to contact Detective Kret at 732-946-4400 ext. 1713.
