Fugitive Wanted for Murder Arrested in Baltimore

BALTIMORE – A 31-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested in connection with a June shooting in the city’s Southern District, police announced Friday.

Chardon Cruz was taken into custody on October 2, 2024, following an investigation into a shooting that occurred on June 30. Authorities say Cruz allegedly shot a 32-year-old man in the 2500 block of Washington Boulevard around 12:21 a.m. The victim was found at the scene with a gunshot wound.

Cruz has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, according to police.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
