Gaetz says he will move this week to oust McCarthy as US House speaker

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Hardline Republican U.S. Representative Matt Gaetz said on Monday he would move this week to oust Kevin McCarthy from his role as speaker, after the leader narrowly avoided a partial government shutdown by passing a bill with more support from Democrats than Republicans.
