Gang Task Force Makes Arrest After Monthslong Investigation

JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Gang Task Force has made a significant arrest following a prolonged investigation. Farrakhan Williams, a 43-year-old resident of Jersey City, was arrested on Monday.

Williams faces charges including Possession of a Weapon While Committing a CDS Offense, Possession with the Intent to Distribute (marijuana), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Certain Persons Not to Possess a Weapon. He was apprehended at his residence and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, awaiting his first court appearance.

The task force, with assistance from the Hudson County Regional SWAT Team, executed a court-authorized search of Williams’ Danforth Avenue apartment early Monday morning. They recovered a handgun and over 270 grams of suspected marijuana.
