OLNEY, MD – A domestic shooting in Olney has led to the death of a 57-year-old man from Georgia.

On the evening of October 7th, around 8:24 p.m., the Montgomery County Emergency Communications Center was alerted to a shooting situation in the 4500 block of Mount Olney Lane.

Upon arrival, officers from the 4th District discovered that 25-year-old Nicholas Marquis Stull was potentially inside the residence, armed. The house in question belonged to his grandparents. Inside, the officers found Michael Wayne Stull, Nicholas Stull’s father, who had been shot.

The Special Weapons and Tactical Team (SWAT) from the Montgomery County Department of Police was summoned to the scene. After entering the house, they successfully apprehended Nicholas Stull. Unfortunately, Michael Wayne Stull was confirmed dead on-site.

Subsequent charges against Nicholas Stull include first-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, and the use of a firearm in the execution of a violent offense.

It was later determined that Nicholas Stull had sustained a non-critical, self-inflicted gunshot injury. He was subsequently transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
