Good Samaritans Thwart Robbery Of Elderly Woman at Hillsborough County Publix

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — On Monday, at a Publix on Boyette Road, Good Samaritans intervened in an attack on a 65-year-old woman by a would-be robber. The assailant, identified as 42-year-old Robert Moore, approached the woman in the parking lot, knocking her to the ground and stealing her keys.

Bystanders witnessing the attack immediately responded; one called 911 while two others detained Moore until the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrived.

Sheriff Chad Chronister praised the quick action of these individuals, highlighting the strength and unity of the community.
