ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Republican gubernatorial candidate Mayor Mario Kranjac has pledged to dismantle Governor Phil Murphy’s proposed budget, calling it “radical” and “anti-taxpayer.”

Kranjac, a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, criticized Murphy’s spending priorities, including taxpayer-funded abortion, legal efforts opposing Trump, and proposed tax increases.

“Phil Murphy’s radical budget prioritizes taxpayer-funded abortion, attacking President Trump, and raising taxes,” Kranjac said in a statement.

“Phil Murphy’s radical budget prioritizes taxpayer-funded abortion, attacking President Trump, and raising taxes,” Kranjac said.  “It does nothing to make New Jersey more affordable for taxpayers and families and it wastes government resources on his deranged, left-wing political agenda.”

He condemned the governor’s commitment to abortion access, stating, “New Jersey doesn’t need more abortion mills, abortion doctors, or abortion training. We need an economy where women and families can easily welcome and support more children.”

Kranjac also vowed to eliminate funding for attorneys involved in litigation against Trump, arguing that Murphy’s administration is “weaponizing” the Attorney General’s Office. He pledged to cut taxes, reduce government spending, and oppose any bipartisan agreements that support tax increases.

Kranjac framed his campaign as a fight against Murphy’s policies, vowing to “lead the GOP to lower taxes, reduce the size of government, support President Trump, and preserve life.”
