Greenbelt Police Arrest Juvenile Suspect in Armed Carjacking Case

GREENBELT, MD — The Greenbelt City Police Department responded to an armed carjacking incident recently. The victim reported that three masked males in a grey car with tinted windows approached him, with two of the suspects armed with handguns. They stole the victim’s black 2018 Impala.

Greenbelt officers quickly initiated a search and successfully located the stolen vehicle along with one of the armed suspects. The suspect, identified as a juvenile, was apprehended and taken into custody, and the handgun was recovered. The Department of Juvenile Services has been notified of the arrest. The police are continuing their efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects.
