Greensburg Assault Leads to Charges Against Indiana County Couple

GREENSBURG, PA – The Greensburg City Police Department, in collaboration with the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office, has charged Christopher McAteer, 38, and Karisa McAteer, 35, following an assault on Saturday.

The incident took place on the 200 block of Alexander Avenue.

The victim, a female resident, reported being attacked by the pair after inviting them to her home. Officers noted visible injuries on her face, wrist, hand, and forearm.

The McAteers are alleged to have stolen various items from the victim’s residence.

Christopher McAteer remains at large with an active arrest warrant, while Karisa McAteer has since turned herself in to the police.
