Greenwood Man Arrested for DUI after Late-night Police Chase

GREENWOOD, DE – Brian Holben, a 27-year-old man from Greenwood, has been arrested by the Delaware State Police for DUI and other related offenses after a vehicle pursuit late last Thursday.

At around 11:56 pm, a trooper on patrol was nearly struck by a Chevrolet Suburban driven by Holben. Despite the activation of emergency signals by the trooper, Holben failed to comply with the police signal and initiated a high-speed chase.

Holben was later apprehended and showed signs of alcohol impairment. A search of his vehicle led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia.

Holben was transported to Troop 5 and was charged with several crimes, including criminal mischief, disregarding a police officer signal, resisting arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia, among others.

He was later taken to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $6500 secured bond.
