BRONX, NY – Police were summoned for a wellness check at 979 Summit Avenue, in the jurisdiction of the 44 Precinct, where they made a harrowing discovery. Upon their arrival, officers found an unidentified human torso, leading to an immediate response from EMS who declared the individual deceased at the scene.
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner is tasked with determining the cause of death.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is actively ongoing. The identification of the deceased is awaiting notification of next of kin.
