Gun-wielding suspect flees D.C. robbery, captured on camera

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man is on the run after an armed robbery in Southeast D.C. on Saturday morning, with authorities seeking the public’s assistance in identifying him.

The incident occurred around 9:00 a.m. in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue. According to reports, the suspect approached the victim, brandished a handgun, and demanded property from the victim’s vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Surveillance cameras captured footage of the suspect, and authorities have released a photo in hopes of identifying him.

Anyone with information is urged to call (202) 727-9099 or text an anonymous tip to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
