Gunfire Erupts in Atlantic City, One Shot

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – One person was shot on Sunday in Atlantic City, police reported today. According police, at 11:51 PM, officers responded to the 3300 block of Fairmount Avenue in reference to a ShotSpotter alert.

ShotSpotter triangulates gunfire sound and helps police locate the source of the shooting based upon coordinates provided by the system.

“Responding officers arrived to find evidence of gunfire and located a male shot multiple times. The victim, 24, of Atlantic City, was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of his injuries that are considered non-life-threatening,” police reported.
