Gunman opens fire inside Queens store before fleeing on foot

Queens, NY – A man unleashed gunfire inside a commercial establishment on Merrick Boulevard Friday afternoon before fleeing the scene on foot, police said.

The shooting erupted around 12:48 p.m. inside 109-14 Merrick Blvd., where an unidentified individual entered the business and fired multiple rounds at a victim. No injuries were reported, officials confirmed.

After the shots rang out, the gunman bolted from the location, heading westbound on 109th Street. He remains at large.

Investigators described the suspect as a male who was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, black sneakers and carrying a black backpack.

Detectives are reviewing security footage in the area as they continue their search for the shooter.
