Gunman robs man of $450 at gunpoint in Brooklyn, flees on foot

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint in Brooklyn earlier this month, taking $450 in cash before fleeing the scene.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, when a 42-year-old man was approached by an unidentified male who displayed a firearm and demanded money.

The suspect forcibly removed $450 from the victim and fled on foot in an unknown direction, authorities said. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Police described the suspect as a male between 50 and 60 years old, with a dark complexion, medium build, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing dark-colored clothing.

“An unidentified individual approached a 42-year-old male, displayed a firearm, and forcibly removed $450 before fleeing on foot,” the NYPD stated in its incident summary.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspect’s identity to contact Crime Stoppers.
