Gunman Wanted After Firing Gun Through Door in Brooklyn

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is continuing their search today for a gunman who banged on the front door of an apartment after leaving, then fired a shot through the door.

The NYPD says the suspect, described as a black male wearing dark clothing fled the scene and is now facing a reckless endangerment charge for the shooting.

According to police, on May 15th, at around 10:38 am two suspects engaged in a verbal dispute with a group at 739 Dumont Avenue in Brooklyn. The men went outside, then one of them tried to get back in, but could not and fired a single gunshot through the front door. No injuries were reported.
