Gunman who injured elderly couple in Queens shooting still at large

NEW YORK, NY – Gunfire erupted in a parking lot at 42-02 Queens Boulevard on Friday,leaving three individuals injured in the Sunnyside neighborhood.

According to the NYPD, an unidentified male discharged a firearm several times towards a 36-year-old male victim’s vehicle, causing debris to strike the victim as well as two others, a 65-year-old female, and a 71-year-old male.

The attacker fled in a gray four-door van missing hubcaps on the rear wheels and the rear bumper, last seen heading southbound on 42 Street.

The individual is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 30 to 40 years old, approximately 5’10” tall, with a heavy build and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt, black shorts, and black slippers.

All three victims received treatment for their minor injuries at the scene. The police have released an image of the suspect and the van, which is available at DCPI.
