Gunshot victim found on Wilern Avenue as police probe Baltimore shooting

BALTIMORE, Md. – A 26-year-old man was hospitalized Sunday evening after being shot in the 4800 block of Wilern Avenue, according to Baltimore police.

The shooting was reported at approximately 5:37 p.m., prompting Northwest District officers to respond to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Northwest District Shooting Unit have taken over the investigation as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
