Gunshots and Vehicle Crash Result in Arrest in Lancaster City

LANCASTER CITY, PA – On Saturday, at around 7:20 pm, Lancaster City Bureau of Police officers were alerted to a shooting incident near Harrisburg Pike and N. Pine St. Shortly after, reports came in about a related vehicle crash.

John Walls, one of the individuals who fled from the crash scene, was soon apprehended by officers near the event site.

Walls was found with a stolen handgun, and the crashed vehicle, an Infinity sedan, was also identified as stolen from a neighboring area. He now faces charges for possession of stolen property and illegal firearm possession.

Evidence from the scene confirmed gunshots had been fired, with property damage but no injuries reported. Detective Steve Owens of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police is investigating.
