Gunshots Reported on South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard, Police Investigating

WILKES-BARRE, PA — Early this morning, the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department responded to reports of gunfire along South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. The incident was reported at approximately 4:43 a.m. near the area of 33 South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers were approached by a complainant who reported hearing 4 to 5 gunshots. Although the complainant did not witness the event, police were able to find several shell casings at the scene.

The investigation into the source and intent behind the gunshots is currently active as authorities work to determine more details about the incident.
