Gunshots Ring Out at Philadelphia Youth Football Game Held at Temple University

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A boy sustained injuries on Sunday night during a panic that ensued after gunshots were heard near a youth football match close to Temple University’s North Philadelphia campus. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. while the North Philadelphia Blackhawks were playing against the West Philadelphia Panthers.

Authorities have not released detailed information about the boy but confirmed that he was hurt in the chaos that broke out following the sound of gunshots. He was not shot, and the incident had no direct connection to the football game.

As of Monday morning, the extent of the boy’s injuries remains undisclosed by officials. Police have also not released additional details about the shooting or confirmed if there were any other injuries related to the gunfire.
