Hamilton Township Gets Tough on Illegal Dumping

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Township of Hamilton is intensifying efforts against illegal dumping, underscoring increased penalties and rewards for assistance in convicting violators.

In compliance with N.J.S.A. 40:49-5, violators face a maximum fine of $10,000.00, with a minimum of $2,500.00, in addition to the cost of cleanup and disposal.

The township offers a $1,000.00 reward for significant assistance leading to a conviction.

This includes complaint filing, court testimony, or other substantial support to enforcement authorities.

This initiative is part of Hamilton Township’s commitment to maintaining environmental integrity and community cleanliness.
