Harford County Deputy Injured in Crash

Baltimore, MD- a Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputy, was injured in a crash on eastbound Route 7 when he was struck by another vehicle, according to police today.

“At approximately 5:30 pm, a deputy assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office was driving on routine patrol, eastbound on Rt. 7, when he was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of Rt. 7 and Joppa Road,” the Harford County Sheriff’s Department said today. “The deputy was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment of his injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening. The driver of the other vehicle is being evaluated by medical personnel on scene.”

Rt. 7, in the area of Joppa Road was shut down while the HCSO Traffic Unit investigated the crash.
