Harlem Bodega Shooting Leaves One Dead

HARLEM, NY – A shooting inside Legend’s Exotic Candy Shop in Harlem has resulted in the death of a 30-year-old man.

Identified as Jazeke Samuels, the victim was found by NYPD officers with gunshot wounds to his torso and left arm at the bodega located at 300 West 142 Street, around 6:10 pm.

Samuels, a Harlem resident, was transported to NYC Health + Hospital-Metropolitan, where he was pronounced dead.

The store, known to be a bodega, is also reported to function as an unlicensed smoke shop, a type of establishment often targeted in violent robberies.

The motives behind the shooting remain unclear, and no arrests have been made as of yet. The NYPD continues its investigation into this incident. The public is asked to provide any information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.
