Harrisburg police seek suspect in deadly Nectarine Street shooting

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Authorities are searching for a man accused of fatally shooting another man on Nectarine Street on Sunday night.

Officers from the Harrisburg Police Department responded to the 300 block of Nectarine Street at approximately 8:30 p.m. on December 8 following reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased adult male in the roadway who had suffered from gunshot wounds.

An investigation quickly identified Santiago Gutierrez as the suspected shooter. Police say Gutierrez fled the scene immediately after the shooting and is now wanted on charges of murder and carrying a firearm without a license.

Details about the victim and the circumstances leading up to the shooting have not yet been released. The investigation remains active, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The Harrisburg Police Department is continuing its efforts to locate Gutierrez and asks residents to report any tips through the department’s Crimewatch platform.
