He Stabbed A Man Outside the Brick Shop Rite and Now He’s Heading to Prison for 7 Years

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ – Michael Stallworth, 35, of Seaside Heights, has been sentenced to seven years in New Jersey State Prison following his guilty plea to Aggravated Assault.

The sentencing, conducted by the Honorable Kimarie Rahill, J.S.C., is subject to the No Early Release Act (NERA), requiring Stallworth to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence.

The incident took place on July 26, 2021, in the parking lot of the ShopRite on Route 70 in Brick. Brick Township Police responded to reports of a 44-year-old male victim stabbed in the parking lot.

The victim was treated for his injuries and released from Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

An extensive investigation led to Stallworth’s identification and subsequent arrest. Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer acknowledged the collective efforts of multiple law enforcement units in the investigation and prosecution of this case.
