Heated Exchange Ends in Gunfire on East 167th Street

WASHINGTON AVE., NY – A verbal altercation escalated to a gunshot on Washington Avenue this Saturday morning. At around 8:50 a.m., an unknown male engaged in a heated exchange with another yet-to-be-identified individual outside 1191 Washington Avenue.

The situation took a bad turn when the unidentified individual brandished a firearm and fired a single shot at the male before fleeing the scene in a white SUV. The suspect headed south on Washington Avenue towards East 167th Street.

No injuries were reported from the incident.

Authorities have released a description of the suspect: a slim-built male, medium complexion, aged between 30 to 35 years old, standing at approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds. He was last spotted wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black and white sneakers.
