Hempstead Man Sentenced in Drug Trafficking Case

MINEOLA, N.Y. – Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly reported the sentencing of Darren Devane, 37, known as Buck, for his involvement in a violent drug ring in Hempstead.

Following a jury trial, Devane was sentenced to 22 years in prison for various drug-related charges.

The investigation, which began in April 2019, revealed Devane’s role as a key player in a drug ring responsible for distributing significant quantities of fentanyl and cocaine.

His activities included directing sales and orchestrating transactions while partnering with Ricky Jackson.

Jackson is an inmate at FMC Devens Federal Prison.
