Here are the winners of somerset county's 'inspirational women' essay contest

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women (SCCSW) has proudly announced the winners of its “Inspirational Women” essay contest, celebrating the achievements of six exceptional students.

The contest, aimed at recognizing and honoring the influence of inspirational women, drew a range of insightful submissions. Winners include Molly Hunziker, a 7th grader from Bernardsville Middle School; Aditya Bajaj, an 8th grader from William Annin Middle School; Advaith Busa, a 10th grader from Watchung Hills Regional High School; Ugdita Pamidigantam, a 12th grader from Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School; and Maya Omkar, a 9th grader from Watchung Hills Regional High School.

The award ceremony, attended by County Commissioner Deputy Director Sara Sooy, SCCSW Chair Karen Thomas, Vice Chair Liz Graner, and Thomas’ granddaughter Samora Williams, celebrated the achievements of these young writers. Their essays shed light on the significant impact that women have had on their lives and the broader community.

The Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women continues to foster awareness and appreciation for the vital contributions of women in society. This essay contest is one of many initiatives supporting this mission, encouraging young minds to explore and articulate the profound influence of women in history and contemporary society.
