Hilton Head Island Man Wins $200,000 on $5 Lottery Ticket, Plans to Save and Travel

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC – A local man bought a $5 lottery ticket on a whim and won $200,000, according to South Carolina Education Lottery officials.

The winner purchased the ticket at Circle K Stores #8100 located at 825 William Hilton Pkwy on Hilton Head Island. He scratched the ticket at home and was stunned by the result.

Upon realizing his win, the man says he plans to save some of the money and also do a bit of traveling.

The Circle K store received a $2,000 commission for selling the winning ticket. There is still one more top prize available in the Plu$ The Ca$h! game, with odds of claiming it standing at 1 in 750,000.
