Woman struck and killed by SUV in hit-and-run on Eastern Avenue

Washington, DC – A late-night walk turned deadly for a 40-year-old woman who was fatally struck by a fleeing SUV while standing in the roadway along Eastern Avenue in Northeast D.C. on Saturday.

Angela Boston, a resident of Northeast D.C., was found alive but seriously injured after being hit just before 10 p.m. in the 1100 block of Eastern Avenue. She was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where she died after emergency crews were unable to save her.
