BALTIMORE, MD — Southeast District patrol officers responded to a missing person report in the 600 block of North Decker Street on November 1, 2023. Family members expressed deep concern for 39-year-old Pedie Edwards (B/M), who had not returned home.

The investigation, initially a missing person case, shifted to a homicide inquiry after specific evidence emerged. On December 9, 2023, authorities in Secaucus, New Jersey, recovered the body of an unidentified male from the water. This body was later transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in New Jersey.

Following an examination, the victim was identified as the missing Pedie Edwards, and the cause of death was determined to be a homicide by shooting. New Jersey officials have since informed Baltimore City Homicide Detectives of these developments, as the investigation continues to unravel the circumstances surrounding Edwards’ disappearance and death.
