State police investigate homicide of Williamson woman last seen near apartment complex
WILLIAMSON, NY – New York State Police are continuing their investigation into the death of 66-year-old Cheryl L. Goodberlet, whose body was discovered after she was last seen alive near her home in Wayne County earlier this month.
Goodberlet, a resident of Williamson Orchard Estates on Arrowbend Drive, was last seen in the late afternoon on Tuesday, November 4. She did not drive and was not in a vehicle at the time, according to investigators. Due to a recent stroke, she had limited mobility and could walk only with difficulty.

Authorities say she may have interacted with neighbors the day she was last seen. She was reportedly wearing overalls and a long-sleeve shirt at the time.
The circumstances surrounding her death have not been released, but the case is being treated as a homicide.
State Police are urging anyone who saw Goodberlet, witnessed suspicious activity in the area, or has information related to the case to contact investigators at 585-398-4100 or email crimetip@troopers.ny.gov. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
