TOMS RIVER, NJ – The Hope Center will be hosting Operation Barbeque Relief ahead of the holidays in Toms River to help those in need. On Saturday, November 5th, Operation Barbecue Relief will be serving 1,000 hot meals to local residents
The meals will be served at The Hope Center parking lot, 253 Chestnut Street, Toms River, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Hope Center is a 501 © 3 non-profit organization operated by the Clergy Association of Greater Toms River.
In addition to the BBQ, the center is hosting a winter coat drive. Residents can pick up free coats, blankets, hats, scarves, gloves, and diapers.
“The BBQ food distribution will be performed drive-through style. Please keep your windows closed and pop the trunk and we will deliver the food to the trunk or truck bed of your vehicle,” Operation BBQ Relief Coordinator David Keith said.
“Operation BBQ Relief has been providing hot meals to residents in need before and throughout the pandemic,” said Mayor Maurice B. Hill. “We are very thankful that they will be providing hot meals to the residents of Toms River again this year, particularly as we near the Thanksgiving holiday.”

In recent weeks, Operation BBQ Relief has been providing meals to residents in Florida affected by Hurricane Ian.
