Hopewell Man Shot Shortly After Midnight

HOPEWELL, VA — The Hopewell Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred just after midnight on Thursday.

Officers responded to a call received at 12:04 a.m. regarding a person shot in the 3100 block of Franklin Street.

Upon arrival, the police found a man with a gunshot wound in his lower posterior area.

The victim was promptly taken to a local hospital. His injuries are reported as non-life-threatening.
