TRENTON, NJ – New Jersey State Police Superintendent Patrick Callahan today said his agency will be out on the roads on New Year’s Eve more than an in recent years. Typically restricted to DWI checkpoints, this year, Callahan has expanded the agency’s role to pursue executive order violators, he said during Wednesday’s state briefing.
“I know we talk about small gatherings…immediate family and I just take this opportunity to remind everybody that the troopers will be out there in full force with additional patrols, additional checkpoints, additional DWI patrols,” Callahan said.
