Howard County Cop Helps Bike Theft Victim Get New Set of Wheels

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A teenager who had his bike stolen earlier in July was surprised to see the police at his door last week. They brought a new bike to the teen victim.

According to police, earlier this month, Officer Sean McKissick responded to an apartment complex in Ellicott City for a report of a bike theft.

“The juvenile victim reported that his bike had gone missing while he was visiting a friend. With the bike gone, McKissick made a few phone calls and connected with local nonprofit Free Bikes 4 Kidz Maryland. It quickly located a bike to donate and made some repairs before passing it along. Last week, PO McKissick met up with the victim to give him the bike and helmet, also donated by the nonprofit,” the department said.
