HOWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ – A 44-year-old Howell man who shot at a group of individuals after his car alarm went off after midnight on Sunday has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and multiple weapons charges.
Pietro Ventricelli, 44, heard his car alarm go off, grabbed his gun, and began firing at three juveniles leaving the area.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said those juveniles were friends of his girlfriend’s son who were waiting inside the man’s car until their rideshare driver came. When they exited the car, they set off the car’s alarm.
Ventricelli began shooting them, striking the rideshare driver’s Dodge Ram three times. Luckily, nobody inside the vehicle was struck.
