Howell Township Police Department Welcomes New Full-Time Officer

HOWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Howell Township Police Department proudly announced the swearing-in of Tom Matthews Jr. as the newest full-time officer to their team.

Previously serving as a Class 2 Special Officer within the department, Matthews brings additional law enforcement experience from his time with the Manasquan Police Department. A lifelong resident of Howell, he continues his family’s legacy in law enforcement as the son of a retired Howell Township Police Officer.

Officer Matthews has completed field training and joins the Patrol Division, ready to contribute to the safety and well-being of the community.
