The Donovan Catholic High School girls basketball team took a 17-2 lead after one quarter and held on the rest of the way to earn a 52-34 win over visiting Barnegat on Thursday.
Alyssa Hirschy scored 14 points on four 3-pointers and two free throws for the Griffins. Kaitlyn Borghesi and Milly Collins added 10 points each.
Ashley Toner led the Bengals with 10 points.
