Hurricane Margot forms in the Atlantic -US hurricane center

(Reuters) – Storm Margot strengthened into a hurricane and further strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said in its latest advisory on Monday.

The hurricane was located about 1,265 miles (2,035 km) northwest of the Cape Verde Islands, packing maximum sustained winds of 75 mph (120 kph), the Miami-based forecaster said.
