Traffic stop on I-95 leads to drug charge for wanted driver

STAFFORD, VA – A routine traffic stop along Interstate 95 turned into a drug arrest after deputies discovered narcotics and confirmed the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Deputies stopped a vehicle traveling southbound near mile marker 136 after learning the registered owner was wanted. The driver was identified as Deandre Hansberry, 24, of Woodbridge.

Hansberry was confirmed to be wanted out of Spotsylvania County and taken into custody. A search of the vehicle uncovered marijuana and a digital scale.

Hansberry was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and later released on an unsecured bond.
