ICE arrests alleged MS-13 gang member in Baltimore operation

BALTIMORE, Md. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of an alleged MS-13 gang member during a routine immigration enforcement operation in the Baltimore area.

The operation, conducted in coordination with the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and other federal law enforcement agencies, resulted in the suspect being taken into custody without incident. ICE did not immediately release the suspect’s name or details regarding potential charges.

MS-13, also known as Mara Salvatrucha, is a transnational criminal organization known for violent crimes, drug trafficking, and extortion. Federal authorities have prioritized targeting gang-affiliated individuals as part of broader immigration enforcement efforts.

ICE has ramped up operations nationwide, focusing on individuals with alleged ties to criminal organizations. “Our enforcement efforts aim to remove dangerous individuals from communities and ensure public safety,” ICE officials stated
