NEW YORK — Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, in coordination with multiple federal law enforcement agencies, continue efforts to apprehend noncitizens with criminal backgrounds, officials said.
ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in New York, along with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), have been working with the FBI, the Department of Justice, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the U.S. Marshals Service to carry out arrests and removals.
“We are also very proud to partner with our @NewYorkFBI colleagues,” ICE said in a statement. “These dedicated agents have been side by side with our officers and other partners every day helping to rid our communities of public safety threats.”
Federal authorities emphasized their commitment to targeting individuals with criminal histories who are in the country unlawfully. Officials say these enforcement actions are part of broader efforts to enhance public safety and national security.
ICE has not disclosed specific details on recent arrests or removals but said operations remain ongoing.
