Illinois Online Lotto Player Wins $700,000 Prize

CHICAGO, IL – Illinois Lottery announced that an online player has won a $700,000 prize in the Lucky Day Lotto game. This comes as the Mega Millions, Powerball, and Lotto jackpots collectively offer $645 million in prizes this weekend.

The Mega Millions jackpot for tonight’s drawing is set at $122 million, while the Powerball jackpot for Saturday night is at $500 million. The Powerball was last hit on July 19, 2023, with a ticket in California winning $1.08 billion.

The Lotto jackpot has also grown to $22 million for Saturday night’s drawing, making it the largest Lotto jackpot this year and the second-largest in nearly eight years.

So far in 2023, 14 Illinois residents have won prizes of $1 million or more playing Mega Millions, Powerball, or Lotto.

Illinois Lottery tickets can be purchased at over 7,000 retailers statewide, or online through the Illinois Lottery website or app. Mega Millions and Powerball tickets cost $2 each, with the option to add Megaplier or Power Play for $1 more. Lotto, an Illinois-only game, costs $2, with an optional $1 Extra Shot to boost non-top prize winnings.
